NL West Showdown on Tap as Colorado Hosts San Francisco

The Colorado Rockies will attempt to maintain their winning disposition and will to capture their third consecutive victory and win the series as they get ready to resume hostilities with the San Francisco Giants. The two NL West Division rivals are scheduled to compete in the second instalment of a three-game series with the tilt set to be broadcasted by the Sportsnet network Wednesday night at 8:10 p.m. ET and live from Coors Field in Denver, CO.
Game Time: 8:10 PM ET

Location: Coors Field, Denver, Colorado

Moneyline: Colorado -120

Total: 11 under -120

The two division rivals are currently engaged in their fourth of six series this season. They split the first set at two apiece back in mid-May back in San Francisco. The Rockies took two of three at home the following set while the Giants responded by taking two contests in their three-game series at home a week ago. After winning the opener 5-2 on Monday, the Rockies capture the series as they trashed the Giants 8-1 in the second game of the set on Tuesday.

The Giants, who will end a six-game road trip on Wednesday, enter the series’ finale as a -120 road underdog, according to Bovada Sportsbook, with the total sitting on 11 run. LH Andrew Suarez (3-4, 4.18 ERA) will attempt to capture back-to-back victories as he takes the hill for the Giants while LH Tyler Anderson (5-3, 4.23 ERA) will also look to notch consecutive wins as he gets the call in the series’ finale for the Rockies.

After a shaky major league debut in which he allowed four or more runs in his first four starts, Suarez has settled down quite nicely allowing less than two runs in five of his last six trips to the mound. The 25-year old yielded a run across seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts in six innings in a 2-1 win against Arizona on Friday. The Miami native didn’t factor in the decision in lone career start against the Rockies back on May 28.

After a couple of mishaps in which he allowed seven runs in 11 1/3 innings in 2 straight losses, Anderson tossed the best game of his career in his last outing. The 28-year old threw a career-high 8 scoreless innings across 4 hits with a walk and 8 strikeouts in a 3-1 win against the Dodgers back on Friday. The Las Vegas native, who didn’t factor in the decision in his lone start against the Giants this year, is 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA in 4-career starts against San Francisco.
