Vegas Odds and MLB Picks: Los Angeles Dodgers at St. Louis Cardinals
The Los Angeles Dodgers will attempt to cultivate their winning disposition and will strive to collect back-to-back victories as they get ready to resume hostilities with the St. Louis Cardinals. The two National League belligerents are scheduled to lock horns in the first installment of a three-game series with the opener set to be broadcasted by the MLB network Thursday night at 7:15 p.m. ET and live from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO.
The Dodgers, who have lost five consecutive games to the Cardinals, enter this affair as a -187 road favorite, according to Bovada Sportsbook, with the total sitting on 7.5 runs. LH Clayton Kershaw (7-5, 2.42 ERA) will attempt to notch back-to-back victories as he is set to thread the mound for the Dodgers while LH Austin Gomber (5-0, 2.93 ERA) will look to stay undefeated in his career as he gets the call in the series’ opener for St. Louis.

The 30-year old allowed two runs across six hits with a walk and seven strikeouts in six innings in a 4-2 victory against the Rockies back on Friday. The Texas native has a 6-6 record with a 2.99 ERA in 16-career starts against the Cardinals.
Gomber has been sharp since replacing Carlos Martinez in the rotation as he has sported a 5-0 dossier with five quality starts with a 2.78 ERA in his eight outings this season. The 24-year old rookie has yielded 3 or more runs only twice during that stretch. The Florida Atlantic product allowed 3 runs on 6 hits with 6 strikeouts in 6 innings in a no-decision against Detroit.
